This Spanish unit is great for students to be able to learn about animals, where they live, how they move and to use the language in an authentic way. This is also a great way for teachers to be able to observe how student use the language and take note of their proficiency levels.
The following are included in this unit:
-lesson plans that explain what to do for each part with a list of materials.
Part one: what is an animal?
Part two: where do animals live and how do they move?
Part three: write and perform a puppet show about animals
-rubrics for observation notes on how students are using the language (can be adapted to any level based on the student proficiency level)
-12 cards for animal habitats
-40 animal cards with names
-40 small game cards without names (print twice to play memory!)
-land, air, water template for a game
-2 templates to categorize animals
-8 page student book (available in half sheet or full sheet)
-5 templates for puppets (simply trace in the color that is indicated and have students glue on paper bags)
These can be used in Spanish immersion, dual language programs, etc. (K-5) or in beginning Spanish classes (6-12). It depends on the student proficiency levels and how the teacher uses the materials.
**All of the artwork in this unit was created by me. I love paint watercolor illustrations have recently started using them for my teaching materials. You may re-use the images to create your own personal/classroom materials or to create FREE materials but you must give my shop credit (Plata Learning And Teaching Academy). Painting these was super time consuming- thank you for understanding! :)**
