This activity contains a short story about a boy on his first day of 7th grade. There is a focus on present tense regular verbs. I use this story at the beginning of the year, as many of the terms are verbs frequently used when giving classroom directions. The focus vocabulary includes: hay, agarra, tiene, necesita.
The story in divided into short paragraphs. Each paragraph is followed by several questions in Spanish, which offer further repetition of the specified vocabulary. This story can be used as a reading activity or a listening comprehension activity.
