Description
The capstone project for Unit 5: Astronomy is called "Lost in Space." In the project, students roam a fictional solar system in search of a livable planet. The classroom takes on the shape of a life-sized board game. Students move their spaceship from square to square, flying around, attacking enemy ships, and sending probes to nearby planets. All the while, their time to find a habitable home is running out. The project happens over five days, as outlined below.
