Love, Simon is a romantic-comedy film based off of the book Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli. Simon Spier has a great family and a wonderful friend group, but he is struggling with telling his family that he is gay. He begins emailing back and forth with an unknown closeted classmate after an anonymous post on their CreekSecrets site. Simon finds himself falling for this unknown person and at the same time working on building up the courage to come out to his friends and family.
