Includes a during reading packet that starts with questions about the poems in the back of the book that inspires Jack during the story. Then the packet asks questions about what Jack and Ms. Stretchberry do during the story. Some questions are fun, some are opinion based and some are right/wrong answers. I always read the book aloud with the students and we would stop at points for them to compete the packet during class while we read. There are two versions of the packet: one they can write on and one they write answers on their own paper/notebook. Also includes directions for students to write their own "inspired by" poems.
The test has a matching, multiple choice, short response, and essay sections (for the essay, students choose 2 of the 8 topics to answer. The study guide has the answer key. I would only provide it to students who had accommodations listed in the IEP, but would verbally review with the entire class.
