Love Thy Self is a self-reflection activity about self-love and really looking at oneself and admiring all the good things about you. Most people are very focused on what isn’t good about themselves and they put so much attention on what is not optimal, that they fail to acknowledge all the positives.
This is often the cause of low self-esteem, lack of confidence and many other non-optimal situations in life. By taking some time to really look at what is good about oneself, the participant will get the realization that they are “better” than they thought.
This boosts confidence, which impacts all areas of life including family, school, peer relationships and much more.
This an ideal resource for learning about self-confidence, empathy and admiring the good things in oneself and others. This activity is a great tool to add to your tool box for character education, leadership and social & emotional learning.
It is a very simple writing exercise about admiring oneself. The activity worksheet is designed and included - all you need to do is print. There are also detailed teacher facilitation instructions including:
- Setting the Tone of the Activity
- How Long The Activity Should Run & When To Stop
- What to do After Each Student Finishes The Activity
- Debriefing The Activity with the Class (including key questions to ask)
***This is a great activity to do for Valentine's Day
