This game is great for practicing sight word recognition and building fluency. Each player spins or rolls to see how many cards he/she gets. Then that many cards are turned over and he/she has to read them at first sight and earns points for each one read correctly. Other students playing the game can move their cards to show whether or not they think they can read the cards missed, keeping them engaged. Additionally, there is a sheet with all the words on it so the students can find them and circle them- another way to keep all students actively learning throughtout the game. There are five different sets of cards, color coded to go with the Dolch list.
