Valentines Day and RAK combined! Inspired by the “Lovebot” movement started four years ago in Toronto by artist and designer Matthew Del Degan, these adorable robots will help you to recognize your own local heroes: kids who have done acts of kindness for others. This resource includes eight full color glittery robots with speech bubbles and four blackline robots and speech bubbles.
Simply print and allow your students to choose a robot to recognize someone who has done an act of kindness for each of them. Print on card stock and cut out the robots and the bubbles for a beautiful and inspirational February bulletin board display, or just print on plain copy paper and display as individual pages. Students recognize their kindness heroes by writing in the speech bubble about the acts of kindness they received.
This activity is a great followup to my “Acts of Kindness: Build a Wall” free resource. After collecting and recording their own acts of kindness, kids can focus on the love shared by their classmates as they did nice things for others as listed on the bricks.
I hope you will enjoy sharing this resource with your students in February as the light within each of them continues to shine!
