Low la Ready Set Print (Worksheets for the Kodaly inspired classroom) - This set of worksheets is designed to help your students practice low la in patterns with low la, do mi sol and la.

*The zip file contains a copy to be used for "sol" as well as "so". Just use whichever version you need!

It includes:
- "A New Neighbor on Solfa Street" worksheets. This also comes in a "Melody Street" and "Music Street" version. If you call your solfa street something else, let me know and I will customize it for you. Students show which house is low la, do re mi sol and la on Solfa Street. Then, they trace low la, do re mi sol la on the staff.

- "do & low la trace & place" Trace in each do on the staff and and place re on the correct line or space.

- "How Low do you Go?" - do clef is show in several locations of the staff. Show where low la would live on each staff.

- "Where in the world is low la?" worksheet- do is shown on the staff on a line or in a space with do clef. Draw to show where low la will go.

- "Who Has Seen Low La?" - Circle all of the low la's in the folk song, "Who Has Seen the Wind".

- "Copycat friends - Will la, live on a line or in a space?" - Show where low la would live if do lives where the note is filled in.

- "On the search for low la" - low la, do and mi are showed on staff in a variety of places, students circle to show which note is low la. This comes in two versions, one with filled in note heads and one with empty note heads.

- "A Solfege Masterpiece" - Color the low la's purple, the sol's blue, the mi's yellow, the re's orange, and the do's red.

- "Phoebe in her Petticoat" Students cut and paste the melodic patterns to put the song in order.

- "Low La Match Up" Students draw a line to match up the four beat phrase of each song to the correct song title and picture. (answers are from the songs Big Fat Biscuit, Who Has Seen the Wind, Phoebe in her Petticoat, and Skin and Bones).

- "Skin and Bones" - fill in the solfa for "oo-oo-oo-oo" - This page is also in my Halloween Ready, Set, Print.

- "Compose your own do song" - Students use given rhythms (ta titi tiri-tiri, and half note) to create a plan for their own composition by writing l, d r m s or l under each one and then moving it down to the staff. They also add stems and beams.
