Are you feeling lucky? You will definitely feel like a lucky teacher once your students master the art of arranging words into ABC Order. This activity provides 4 words per card for students to organize into alphabetical order. Recording sheets have been provided for students to write their answers. I have also included a bonus set of cards that shows students the correct order that the words should be arranged in. These are perfect for discrete self-correcting or for those times when you may be working with other students and not able to provide assistance right away.
~A student-friendly glossary has been provided to help students learn the meaning of the words that are associated with this festive and cultural holiday.
~Students can work independently or with a buddy.
~The cards would great for morning work or used as an independent learning Center.
~For morning work, place a set of four cards on the table with the corresponding recording sheet. You could then place a different set of cards out for the next morning. This would provide you with three separate days of morning work.
~You may choose to use all of the cards at one time or break them into smaller sets to be used at various times.
Print on cardstock for durability, cut the cards out, and laminate them.
I hope that you and your students have a wonderful learning experience from the use of this activity.
