This game is played similar to a regular BINGO game. The only difference is I cut up multiple copies (four copies is plenty for eight players) of the gold pieces so that students can draw the gold out of a real pot that I purchased at Dollar Tree. Students pass the pot around and draw out a gold piece. The student must read the word and can cover the word on their card if they have it. If not, place the piece back in the pot and pass to the next player. You could make one copy of the gold pieces and just have someone call out the words like traditional BINGO. Your choice!
The first player to get all of the words on their pot covered is the winner!
This packet includes the first 24 sight words from the Scott Foresman Reading Curriculum: I, am, the, little, to, a, have, is, we, my, like, he, for, me, with, she, see, look, they, you, of, are, that, do.
Words come in a black and white version (for copying on yellow cardstock) and in color.
Eight game mats are included to make this game ideal for a
