This file began as a Lucky Charms Cereal themed Data Day unit. I always have enjoyed breaking up the routine of the regular schoolwork with a data day centered on a festive theme. Every now and then it is good to set the regular routine of things aside and treat the students to something new and different. I have found that a data day unit is a great tool to revisit those important skills you want students to know in a fun and fresh way. The beginning of this unit is an 8-page math data day packet to use with Lucky Charms Cereal. Students will practice data collection by counting Lucky Charms marshmallows and then complete the worksheets provided. You can teach this over 1 -2 days in math class. Students will practice tally marks, sorting, skip counting, graphing, data interpretation, probability, arithmetic, and number stories with this packet.
The rest of this bundle contains Lucky Charms themed worksheets, activities, projects, and games centered on the Lucky Charms theme. You can implement these in your classroom at any time. These focus on core skills such as writing, coin counting, spelling, reading, vocabulary, number stories, tallies, drawing, counting, numeracy and arithmetic.
