Description
This unit is the BUNDLE of the lucky little learners math and literacy units!! You will get a discount by buying the bundle verses each unit separately.
Included for the math section:
Make And Solve Addition/ Subtraction Problems:
Students will practice making addition and subtraction problems. Students will use the lime green number cards and the dark green math symbol cards to create and solve their own math problems. Once they have created their problems they will record it on the recording sheet provided.
Addition Cards:
Students will add the numbers together and use a dry erase marker to write their answer on the card! Students will simply wipe off answers after they are done. Cards range from 1+0 to 10+10. This will make it easy for you to differentiate for each students ability level. Blank cards are also included so that they may create their own addition problems!
Subtraction Problems:
Students will subtract the numbers and use a dry erase marker to write their answer on the card! Students will simply wipe off answers after they are done. Cards range from 1 -0 to 10 -10. This will make it easy for you to differentiate for each students ability level. Blank cards are also included so that they may create their own subtraction problems!
Spin and Write Graphs:
Print, laminate and cut out each graphing mat. Students will use a paperclip to spin the spinner on each mat. Students will use a dry erase marker to mark one box for every icon the spinner lands on. Once they have reached the top of one column, they are done. They will then analyze their data and answer the two questions at the bottom of the mat. These graphs are reusable as the answers will be different every time they spin!
Measure and Record:
Print, laminate and cut apart each rectangle. Print and laminate the gold coin measuring stick. Students will use the gold coin stick to measure each picture. Students will record their answers on the recording sheet that is provided. You may also use a ruler to have kids measure each picture. Eight pictures are included with each set.
In the literacy section:
Sight word ‘pick, say, keep’ game: Print, laminate and cut apart each card. Students will turn the cards over. They will pick one card at a time, say the sight word and if they are correct, they get to keep the card. Whoever has the most cards at the end is the winner. In this set, I have included the sight words from the Scott Foresman Reading Street Kindergarten list and the first 100 words from the Fry list. I have also included some blank cards so that you may write in any other words you desire!
Real and Nonsense Word Sort: Print, laminate and cut apart word cards. Students will pick a card, say the word and determine if it is a real or nonsense word. They will then place that card on the sorting mat under the appropriate column. Students may then record some of their words on the recording sheet that is provided!
Vocabulary Cards- 10 St. Patty's Day themed vocabulary cards.
CVC Write the room: Print, laminate and cut apart each card. I have included 5 different sets of CVC words and each set contains 8 words. You can mix-and-match the sets giving you endless possibilities for each recording activity!! Post 8 words at a time around your room (or lay them out on a table). Students will take a recording sheet and write the CVC word on the coordinating line by matching the number on the card to the number on their paper. At the end of each recording sheet, students may pick on word from the eight they recorded and write a sentence using that word.
Sentence Scramble: Print, laminate and cut apart cards. Students will arrange 6 cards at a time to make complete sentence. Each set of cards that go together have the same picture on them and the same boarder color around them. Students will then record the sentences they made on the recording sheet that is provided.
I hope you enjoy!!
