This is Unit 4 of the SECOND grade Lucy Calkins lessons. If you use Lucy Calkins...you know it can be difficult to grasp everything to teach from the manual. This will help!

I have highlighted the main ideas of each lesson in Lucy Calkins Series: Unit 4: Poetry Writing for grade 2. There is a PowerPoint for each lesson from 1 to 17. This is a Zip file that contains the 17 lessons.

The Power Points can be used while you teach each mini lesson and throughout the independent writing time.

*These are not lesson plans, but Power Point slides you can show your class while you are teaching the mini lesson. I use the slides to help keep me on track and for a visual for the students.

Included:
