Do you read the upcoming lessons from your Lucy Calkins unit of study books only to return to school the next day with little memory of what you read? As I began using Lucy Calkins to teach Writer's Workshop, I found myself taking notes or re-reading the lesson a second time just so I could remember what to teach my students. To save time and jog my memory, I created these slides with quick reminders about the lesson's teaching point, mid-workshop teaching point, and share. I keep the slides enlarged on my projector screen as a visual reminder of the lesson's objective. It also helps my students remember the teaching point for the day by having the lesson on the screen.
*Please note: This product is intended to supplement the Lucy Calkin's Unit of Study for writers workshop. I highly recommend that you continue reading the lessons in your Lucy Calkins book to fully grasp the content on the slides I created.
