This newly updated and revised POWER-POINT file/lesson replaces an older version of a lesson that was for sale in my store by the same name. This new edition has many more components to it, many of which are interactive to better engage your elementary music students. Penny Vocal Explorations open the lesson and prepare the class for proper singing. In this lesson, students will be expected to tap a steady heartbeat, notate rhythmic notation to the song, and place and/or write a visual icon over the word or part of a word where the heartbeat falls. Students will also be expected to rhythmically notate/dictate sounds per beat, melodically read Sol-La-Mi tone set on a 3 line/2 space staff and then transfer that information to 5 lines/4 spaces in real music notation and so much more. This lesson is based on the Kodaly concept and includes all directions to song, game(s), etc. Be sure you have the proper software POWER-POINT to be able to use this file. This file can be projected onto an Interactive White Board but and IWB isn't necessary for the use of this file. This file is also available in SMART NOTEBOOK form if you'd rather purchase that format, especially if you do have a SMARTBOARD OR an IWB. Click this link to purchase the SMART NOTEBOOK edition.
