is one of Andrew Clements' best known books, he wrote many other school stories including this favorite, Lunch Money
. Sixth grader Greg Kenton is obsessed with making money. And he is really good at making money. He has a plan to design mini-comic books and sell them for a quarter apiece at school but runs into some competition.
This unique product reviews the story through exercises which focus on homophones, vocabulary, parts of speech, proper nouns, verbs and the simple past tense, possessive noun forms, and coordinating and subordinating conjunctions. Grammar practice corresponds to the ELA-Literacy CCSS, and each standard is identified. The review is divided into sections of four chapters each, and the final four chapters are reviewed along with the rest of the story within 48 Daily Language Review Task Cards. Your students can work in small groups or pairs to review the story and grammar and record their answers on a student worksheet using proofreading marks.
Use these worksheets and activities:
• In Literature Circles
. When you have groups working at different paces, this will be a useful way for your fast-finishers to spend their time.
