When it is time to review for a test or quiz, the students in my class always get excited because it is time for another REVIEW GAME. Lunch Time allows teachers to ask the important questions in order to prepare for the test, and it allows the students to work in groups and compete with their peers. The class is divided into 4 groups with the goal of trying to match their team's plate with "Today's Menu." They may get multiple items, but they need all 5 different items in order to win. Every time the team answers a question correctly, they have an opportunity to come to the board and remove a cell shade. Behind each shade is a food item. With room for 10 questions built in, teachers can match the Lunch Time review game to match any standards. Review games allow me the opportunity to teach why the answers are right and wrong. All of my review games promote content knowledge, collaboration, organization, and fun. Best of all, it can be used to review any subject!
