The goal of this game is for students to practice using rhetorical appeals (logos, ethos, pathos, kairos) during arguments. The Google Slide is designed to print one copy for each group of students (four to six students to a game). If you want students to complete the reflection, you will need to make a copy of the last page for each student in the group. There are 50 created topics included. You can duplicate the question pages (and edit them) to add additional questions.
From directions: "You are part of a new cohort of students at Aristotle’s Lyceum school. Aristotle wants you to practice your argument skills, so he has arranged a debate competition. You and your peers will argue a variety of topics. For each topic, you will use at least one of the rhetorical appeals. Be careful though: don’t let style overtake substance, or you might get a Sophist card?and Aristotle doesn’t like that approach to argument. "
