This bundle is for the complete lesson on The Lymphatic System and Immunity for a Human Anatomy and Physiology course. These items are sold separately in my store but I'm offering the complete lesson at a discounted price.
The presentation can be used with Guided Notes and Assessments Bundle on Lymphatic System and Immunity that is included in this bundle. I have also included some links to websites which contain pictures and illustrations which can be used as a supplement to the presentation. Many slides have notes for instructor on my thoughts on discussion topics for that slide in the presentation. Also are links to YouTube videos that I use in class. Videos include a news story on the 2014 Ebola outbreak and a PSA regarding Ebola. The content for this material includes the function of the lymphatic system and lymphatic organs, specific and non-specfic immune responses, types of antibodies and disorders of the lymphatic and immune system.
Guided notes for the Human Anatomy and Physiology Presentation on the Lymphatic System and Immunity that corresponds with the presentation are also included in this bundle. There is an exam that contains 24 short answer responses, 10 multiple choice items and two open response items. Exam covers general function of the lymphatic system and lymphatic structures, nonspecific and specific immune responses, types of antibodies, active vs. passive immunity as well as various disorders of the lymphatic and immune system. I give this test as an open note/book test or a take home test. Also is a lab on transmission of an infectious agent where the students try to determine the first infected patient (patient zero). I have added a true and false quiz (students correct the false items) on the first part of the lecture. Keys and rubric are included. The bundle also contains the teacher prep and procedure for activity. Lesson plans are included and are based on the Career and Readiness Standards. Items are in a Word document so you can edit items as you see fit. Lesson plans with the Career and Readiness Standards are included.
I have my students use the Anatomy Coloring Book by Kapit and Elson for illustrations of the anatomy for each chapter. My teaching time is based on a 4x4 schedule and takes about a week. I am listing this for Higher Education as well due to students who I have had in the past who were dual enrolled at local community colleges.
