Do you need an activity that tests your student's comprehension on Lyndon B. Johnson's "Great Society"? We've got just what you're looking for!
This "Lyndon B. Johnson's 'Great Society'" Activity includes:
1) A document-based "GALLERY WALK" activity that creates a unique opportunity for your students to engage with REAL, HISTORICAL DOCUMENTS and investigate
the social lives of Americans during the 1960's. Your students will love walking around your classroom "art gallery" and analyzing the 6 different images provided, discussing them with their peers, and developing conclusions about the programs that made up the Great Society. In addition to the Gallery Walk, students will also answer questions regarding the way in which LBJ came to power, with one of the greatest tragedies in American history.
This activity can be used in many different ways in the classroom. Students can work independently, in pairs or this activity can be used as a jigsaw in order to facilitate a class wide discussion about the topics discussed in the activity.
2) A detailed answer key to the lesson activity to save you time and help guide student comprehension.
This activity can also be found in a bundle paired with a PowerPoint, Keynote and PDF version of a fully customizable lecture found here:
