MA11 for High School - Aftermath of World War
This is written as a one week lesson for high school students. The lesson covers the effects of the war on American society and during the immediate post-war period; the beginning of the Cold War between the U.S. and its allies against the Soviet Union; the expansion of Communism in Europe and Asia; the dissolution of the European empires during the post-war period, and the origins of the Arab-Israeli conflicts. The lesson the necessary readings, a list of key vocabulary terms, and comprehension and essay questions. The lesson also contains map identification, a table for graphing activities, and an internet research assignment on the extinction of streetcars in American cities, and a lesson quiz.
