MA11 for Jr. High and ESL - Aftermath of World War
This is written as a two week lesson for junior high and ESL students. The lesson covers the effects of the war on American society and during the immediate post-war period; the beginning of the Cold War between the U.S. and its allies against the Soviet Union; the expansion of Communism in Europe and Asia; the dissolution of the European empires during the post-war period, and the origins of the Arab-Israeli conflicts. . The lesson contains four separate reading assignments, each with key vocabulary terms, comprehension question, and an essay question. The lesson also contains map identification, table for graphing activities, and an internet research assignment on the extinction of streetcars in American cities and a lesson quiz.
