MA7 for Jr. High and ESL - The Roaring Twenties
This was written as a two week unit for junior high and ESL students. The lesson covers the end of the First World War and the economic difficulties of the post-war adjustment; the economic and social effects of the Prohibition period; social and economic changes brought about by the automobile; the rise of a national culture caused by radio and sports, and the causes of the economic crash that brought about the Great Depression. The lesson contains four separate reading assignments, each with key vocabulary terms, comprehension question, and an essay question. The lesson also contains map identification, a fill in the blank review, simulation on the economics of farming during the period, and a lesson quiz.
