Use MAC for your classroom management!
The acronym MAC is simpler to use with younger students, but just as effective as CHAMPS. In my classroom, Señor Mac is a stuffed monkey that watches student's good/bad behavior. I've used a clipart of a monkey to represent Mac in this resource.
Included is a clip chart which includes expectations for:
*Sitting in your seat
*Sitting around the room
Simply use clothes pin to clip over desired expectation before beginning an activity.
Also included are posters to have in whole group reading area (for carpet time), and one next to door (for lining up). These posters will come in handy to remind students of expectations before whole group reading begins, and before lining up. This way you don't have to move your clip chart around the room.
