The definition of open-ended Math problems can vary in some classrooms. In this activity our open-end problems,

- have multiple solutions and possible responses

- allow students to work at their desired level

- encourage diversity and easy differentiation

- provide the opportunity for richer, deeper, math conversations


INSTRUCTIONS:

· Find 4 numbers that add together to equal 25

· Fill each of those numbers into the leaves on the first four-leaf clover

· Think of 4 more numbers and repeat on the second four-leaf clover

· Repeat the process again for the third

Includes pages for sums of:
10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, and 100
Also includes a blank number page to allow for free choice and further differentiation.

There are many ways you may choose to use these activities. These rich math tasks encourage and help develop creative and critical thinking, communication, fluency, and addition skills in an accessible and engaging way!
