This is a wonderful, well-rounded resource that provides reading, comprehension, vocabulary, and grammar skills. Martin Luther King Jr.'s life is highlighted through several pages. Students can read the pages independently, with a small group (stations/centers), or as a class. In addition to Black History Month, this book can be used to study biographies, character traits, comprehension, vocabulary, context clues, significant contributors to history, reading intervention, and writing practice.
You can Build - A - Book by choosing what additional pages to include in the book. There are additional pages that can be added to the book for more instruction. The book can include only the biography and comprehension pages or you can add on more pages to enhance the student's reading experience. This can be used as independent practice or as an assessment. The book can be double sided to save paper.
