This is the story of Martin Luther King, Jr. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1929. At that time there was segregation and African Americans were treated unfairly because of the color of their skin. Martin became a preacher and worked so that all people would have equal rights. King led peaceful marches and gave many speeches. His most famous speech was when he said, “I have a dream.”
