The Boston Massacre is one of the defining moments in American History. But what really happened? In this activity, your students will take on the role of investigators trying to solve the case of the Boston Massacre. This started out as a companion to the HBO miniseries John Adams, Episode 1, and it grew from there. Your students will listen to the testimonies of the witnesses from the show, and then read the text of other witnesses. Students will then present their conclusions by using evidence and what should happen to those at fault. Teacher directions are included.
