MATCH MY MAP!
This is a fun and interactive talking and listening task for students K-6.
Students take turns to describe the map, including the colours of the objects, the position of each object, the texture of the lines, etc. Students are given a copy of the blank map to draw the map using the cues and directions their partner gives.
A great feature of this activity is that students can self and peer assess both the describer and the artist!
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Print and laminate copies of the treasure maps and instructions for students to reuse.
Print multiple copies of the blank map for students to draw their maps!
A great activity to enhance students' oral language.
Easy to use as a guided reading activity, maths independent rotation OR just for fun!
ALSO a fantastic resource for ESL/EALD students who are learning to communicate effectively with peers or small groups.
