Description
These sample lessons are lessons 15-16 in my Systems and Matrices Unit (Unit 3) for Algebra 2. The TUTORIAL VIDEO to accompany the lesson can be found on my YouTube Channel - Mandy's Math World under the Algebra 2 Playlists section.
These lessons are designed to take 2 days but you could easily condense the lessons to one day!
- Day 1 - Lesson introduces the matrix equation and encourages students to solve a 2-variable matrix equation by hand. The 3-variable matrix incorporates use of the graphing calculator, and the online tutorial video includes the calculator process.
- Day 2 - Students will use the calculator to reduce rows of an augmented matrix to solve 2x2 and 3x3 systems of equations (Reduced Row Echelon Form; "rref").
Supplement this unit with these helpful TI-84 Matrices Calculator Guides (another FREEBIE) for students to reference.
