MATRICES an assessment
This resource serves as an assessment for a unit on Matrices.
(The link below will take you to the complete unit / 10 lessons)
The question of whether to teach matrices or not is an interesting one. If you are reading this, it is probably because you have decided to teach the topic (or it was decided for you).
Matrices are included in the CCSS and are useful in Algebra 2 for solving systems and geometry with vectors eventually leading to modeling, simulations and computer graphic applications (but those topics are beyond the scope of this resource).
This assessment covers:
•Introduction to Matrices
•Addition, Subtraction, and Scalar Multiplication of Matrices
•Multiplication of Matrices
•The Zero and Identity Matrices
•Properties of Matrices Matrix Equations
•Using Matrices for Data Representations
Check out the complete unit which includes:
10 Lessons with guided note(s), practice worksheets and a riddle/joke worksheet.
