There are a lot of thematic and symbolic commonalities between THE LITTLE PRINCE and WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE. The teacher is encouraged to read aloud both books (note: The Little Prince takes approximately 2 weeks) and then show the films. Following that, the teacher can distribute one of the worksheets in this resource (one is more geared to grades 3 and 4 whereas the other could be used up until grade 8). Alternatively, the teacher can choose to just use the WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE picture book and does not have to include the film, the book will suffice.
*The teacher can also discuss the liberties or changes the film team took with the direction of the motion picture(s) as compared to the printed text.
