This is the PERFECT beginning of the year activity for our young learners! It also would be wonderful for a presentation or poster at a parent night, or a bulletin board to teach the school community about our role! It contains a clickable PowerPoint presentation that explains the role of the school counselor in kid-friendly language.
After the presentation, students can work on the mini coloring book that helps reinforce the material and also makes for a great resource for students to take home and teach their families more about our role too!
The mini coloring book is a half-sheet (to save trees!) and is available in English only as well as English/Spanish
so our Spanish-speaking parents can learn about their child's school counselor too! I hope this resource is as helpful to you and your students/parents as it was for me! :)
The adorable Educlips clipart images and text in the PowerPoint and mini coloring book are customizable to your school counseling department!
They include the following options - you choose which one describes you and your co-counselor best (if you have one) and just delete the rest!
• One female counselor (African American, Caucasian, and Hispanic images)
• One male counselor (African American, Caucasian, and Hispanic images)
• Two female counselors
• Two male counselors
• One female counselor and one male counselor
