This Father’s Day lesson is a great way to summarize your student’s strengths and celebrate Father’s Day in your class. You can even have a “Bagels con Papá” celebration and invite dads to the class. The presentation can be modified to their best friend or a special relative (hermano, tio, abuelo)
The project will allow your students to review Clothing, Personality Traits, Physical Descriptions, House Terms and Hobbies in a fun and interesting way.
The project was designed to have students create a Power point about their dad's in Spanish. They can read the Power point during presentations. Those who decide to work on a poster need to create a script to be able to present. Great activity during a formal Observation.
Distribute the Power point to students. Give them the freedom to change the layout, delete the vocabulary in the slides. They will have FUN creating a project. for their dad. They can add video links, music and change the entire formatting. They can add new slides for rooms of the house or for the hobbies. Use real photos from their homes. Create a sign up so all students can present. They only need to read the slides for the Presentation. Great way to develop oral skills.
Distribute the Rubric to the class. Explain they will be graded on a 20 point scale. 1-2 Student does not meet expectations, 3 Student meets expectations and 4 Student exceeds expectation. The rubric was designed to assess both their oral and written efforts.
