What's Included In This Webinar Pack
The MI Theory and Growth Mindset Webinar Pack consists of a zip file with a subfolder that includes the PDF documents for the webinar. The zip file also has a "Quick Start Guide" with a link to a page with the webinar recording and any new freebies or updated files. The webinar recording itself is not included in that folder because the video file is too large. To find the webinar replay, click the link provided in the Quick Start Guide file to go to the private page on Teaching Resources where you can watch the webinar. That page has all of the freebies mentioned in the webinar, and I plan to update it with any new freebies when I present the webinar in the future.

New! Google Doc and Editable Versions of the MI Survey for Kids
I've added 3 editable versions of the MI Survey for Kids including a Google Doc version to use with Google Classrooms. There's also an editable PowerPoint version to print and an editable Excel spreadsheet for digital use. If you've already purchased this product, download the file again and look for the folder title MI Survey Variations. The link to the Google Doc version is on the page titled, "MI Survey for Kids Info."

Here's What Webinar Attendees Had To Say....
Here are just a few of the more than 100 comments on the Teaching Resources Facebook page about MI Theory, Mindset, and Motivation.

• Julia Fluck - There were so many useful takeaways from this webinar, but the best piece of advice was to shift from praising scholars for being "smart" to praising scholars for their effort/work ethic. NPR recently mention a similar point. Shifting to empowering praise not only helps scholars develop that open growth mindset, it also allows the students to look within themselves for validation and truly seek to achieve success for their own sake. Great points in this webinar, thank you!

• Jennifer Marciana - What am amazing webinar! I learned so much and can't wait to use MI and growth mindset in my classroom this year. There were many useful takeaways, but I would definitely say using both the "kid friendly" terms of MI in addition to the official terms is a great way to get kids to understand more of the true MI areas. And I loved learning more about empowering praise! Thanks again!

• Carla Neely - This was a great webinar. I am definitely going to incorporate multiple intelligences in my instruction. I am going to have the students complete their survey during the first week of school...which is next week. I like how Laura explained that teachers have to be careful with how they praise students. I also like how Laura talked about how teachers need to help students change their fixed mindset to a growth mindset.

• Pamela Leiken - Thank you for this webinar! I especially found the examples of empowering praise very useful and the evidence of their effectiveness was shocking!! I will use your information with my third graders to enable them to take more risks and practice positive self-talk as they face challenges this year!

• Danielle Fonseca - Your webinar was fantastic! Thank you so much for sharing with us such insight into the young and developing minds of our future! I loved discovering ideas about how to get the students to experience mindfulness about their strengths and what they all contribute to the classroom community!! I must go back in time to listen in on your previous webinar about the "super start" to a new year now!
