This FREE microbiology project makes for a quick overview after your lesson or before you dive into greater depth. Use this as a guide for your own lesson or as an independent Internet research project.
PLEASE NOTE: This is the FIRST in this science series of research brochures. More are on the way. Be sure to follow my store so you'll be the first to know when new projects are released. You can also sign up for my newsletter at classwithelle.com and I'll make announcements on release dates that way, too.
This resource has been developed as a crossover lesson of language arts, history, and science. Science teachers will find this very useful in incorporating writing across the curriculum with an eye on the history of scientists! English teachers will find this as a fun way to add relevant history/science to lessons on research methods. Your students will find information on important people and terms - all the highlights that you want them to walk away with.
EACH MINI-PROJECT INCLUDES AN INTERACTIVE NOTEBOOK POCKET AND RESEARCH RECORDING PAGE.

EXTEND THE LESSON: Find YouTube videos for each of the vocabulary terms and historical figures.
This project can be completed in a few different ways. You can provide your students with the information to fill out their brochures, or have them find the information through Internet research. If your students are inexperienced with Internet research, guide them through the process by projecting a search that you lead.
You'll find this unit to be so straight-forward that you may even want to leave it in your sub folder!
