WHERE TO BUILD A CASTLE? & CASTLE ASSESSMENT

    Description

This Medieval History Unit bundle contains 7 fully resourced lessons on the Norman conquest of England after the Battle of Hastings in 1066. They cover King William's efforts to control his new kingdom through the feudal system, castles, the Domesday book and violence.

The unit contains detailed, animated PowerPoints, worksheets and graphic organisers as well as handouts for a fully stand alone unit.

The lessons have been made for the English National Curriculum and as such have level descriptors. I have kept these in place in case you find them useful for scoring your students. The skills used by students are in line with key areas of the Common Core for History and social studies.

All of these are available separately in my store.

**In addition this product contains 2 more resources only found in the bundle:

    • WHERE TO BUILD A CASTLE? - An engaging worksheet where students must decide where to build a castle base don the reousrces available and the map theyve been given. They then have to write to the King to explain their decision and importantly to ask for permission.

    • CASTLE ASSESSMENT - A written assessment with a full mark scheme and success criteria. I use this as an end of unit test as the students find the castles component so engaging!

If you were to buy these lessons separately it would be at least $13 not including the value of the extra resources. So why not save some cash AND save yourself some planning time?!

Thanks for looking and I hope they are helpful to you and your class!
