The activities introduce children to a variety of minibeasts and their habitats. During the activities children will learn how minibeasts look like, how they are built, what they eat, and where they live. The students will also be familiarised with the cycle of life of various insects. Moreover, some of the activities will help students to practise their maths and English skills.

- Minibeast hunt!
In this activity you need to take the students to the green area around the school or to the local park/forest. Then, the students examine the minibeasts and fill the worksheet in with all information about minibeasts.
- Wanted! – creating a poster.
The students need to choose one minibeast that is harmful to people and fill the poster Wanted in by drawing their chosen minibeast. They also need to write down why the minibeast is wanted (why is it harmful to people) and the reward for it.
- What am I? – classroom activity.
The students have to guess what minibeasts they are by getting clues from other students!
- My Favourite Minibeast – worksheet.
The students choose their favourite minibeast – they need to draw the picture of their minibeast, write where it lives and what it eats.
- Color the ladybird - counting – worksheet.
In this exercise the students have to count the numbers and follow the guidelines how to color the ladybird. It’s a great activity to practise maths.

The students need to find names of the minibeasts in a word search.

The students need to count minibeasts and write numbers down in the brackets.
- Counting minibeasts by skipping – puzzles.
In this activity the students practice counting by 2's, 3's, 4's, 5's and 10's.
- Label the insect – worksheet.
The students have to label the insect with the given words. They need to indicate where the abdomen, thorax and head are.
- Minibeast detective - worksheet
In this exercise the students have to look closely at the picture and answer the questions.
- Maths riddles with a minibeast theme!
- What am I? Worksheet -
The students have to guess the name of the minibeast by looking at the fragment of the picture.
- The life cycle of a butterfly – worksheet.
The students have to cut out the pictures of the stages of butterfly’s life cycle and glue them in appropriate boxes.
- Board game. Perfect activity to check what students have remembered about the minibeasts!
The students can play this board game in small groups. Note: The board game is of A3 size. Print it off on glossy card, so it will look more attractive than just on standard paper.
