It’s the First Day of
And Miss Bindergarten has to get the classroom ready for her twenty-six new students. She puts the books on the bookshelf, organizes the toys, and hangs the alphabet chart.
Book Unit consists of:
Tracing words, lines, and coloring
Counting using dot dauber
Identify the one that is different
Puppet patterns in B/W and colored for retelling of the story
Similarities & Differences
1. Discuss how each character gets ready for kindergarten and gets to school. Are there similarities, differences, or both?
2. Discuss with your students how they prepare for and get to school. Talk about these similarities and differences while making notes on the board. Have each child illustrate one thing from their own routine and bind it together to create your own class "Gets Ready" book.
