I have created 32 (8 sheets) task cards based on the updated MLA 8th Edition. I have also included two editable task card pages, task card answer sheet, and task card key. There are a variety of questions related to format, citing source information, and the Works Cited page. These task cards provide a great hands-on learning approach to teaching MLA format to students.
There is flexibility in how you choose to use the task cards, but I have provided some suggestions for you. You can divide students into groups or assign the tasks for individual students to complete. In groups, students can divide the tasks among themselves and then share their answers before submitting. You can assign individual students tasks to work on as needed, or have students complete all of the cards. Task cards can be assigned as homework, bell work, or exit ticket.
