This is a MLA (Modern Language Association) Works Cited Style Guide to handout to students.
It provides them with examples of the different types of works cited in both print and electronic form as well as including notes for parts that are not easily identifiable in the examples (such as Date of Access for electronic resources).
It also provides them with the general MLA guidelines for the Works Cited section of their papers.
Common Core State Standards: The CCSS require students to cite sources.
This style guide uses the most current version of the MLA Handbook (2009).
