Description

Fun math lab where students work in groups or on their own to determine the different ratios in their bag of M&Ms. Students have to determine what each ratio is in fraction, decimal, and percentage form.

An extra Challenge yourself activity is at the bottom of the worksheet. This activity asks students to expand a cookie receipt to 5 times the amount.

This is a fun activity that can be used for classroom parties/celebrations or during a holiday when candy is involved. This activity can also be completed during remote learning. The teacher could open a bag of M&Ms via live session or send students the numbers in a virtual chat, email, or slide. This could also be assigned as an activity at home where students can use family members as their lab partners.
