Students will LOVE this activity. Students use M&Ms to practice comparing quantities with ratios. First students will count each color and the total and record on their sheet. Then there are three thought provoking questions to answer before they get started. Teacher will want to go over questions as a class and make sure everyone can make ratios and equivalent ratios. Then they will answer 22 ratio comparisons (color to color, color to total, colors combined to color) and create two equivalent ratios for each comparison. Once they are all done, eat up!
M&M's required :)
I bought the large bag of candies and separated into baggies. About 40 each, but size can vary based on preference.
