This product is designed to help you teach Modal Auxiliaries (can, could, may, might, must, should, would) and their function in sentences.

The PowerPoint introduces each modal auxiliary and the condition it shows with a sample sentence and an explanation of its use in the sentence. Students are required to make note cards for each modal auxiliary to use as references for additional activities. The slideshow also includes interactive activities. In addition, teaching tips are included as Comments for most of the slides.

There are two versions of the PPT. One is illustrated with Super Hero clipart by Revidevi and is a read-only to protect the integrity of the art. The other has no clipart but is savable. Both slideshows contain the same grammar content and interactive animation.

Also included are a board game, Modals Magic Carpet Ride, and three additional engaging activities: Build a Modal Sentence, Find the Modal Match, and Writing Modal Sentences. There is a final assessment that requires students to write sentences using the seven modal auxiliaries taught in the unit.

Additional features:
• Product Review and Teaching Tips
