Possibly the best film ever made of a Shakespearean play is Kenneth Branagh's MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING. The video makes an excellent resource for learning, as well. With this video guide, students will be able to see that Shakespeare wrote superb comedies as well as tragedies. They will also be able to exercise their analytical abilities in evaluating examples of the elements of drama, figurative language, and the use of verse v. prose. This guide is designed for use by students who have not studied the text of MUCH ADO as well as those who have.
