This interactive SMARTboard lesson was developed for the intermediate grades (grade 4-6) but I feel it is very appropriate for grade 3 also. Grade 3 may need a little more support, but the challenge would be great. Lesson begins with a short mini lesson about multi-meaning words. Students will then try to think of a word that either fits both sentences or both meanings. The end of the lesson practices words that have 3 meanings. Multi-meaning words include: crane, loom, cobbler, range, chest, ruler, swallow, table, diamond, mine, steer, palm, and more. MUST have SMART Notebook to download and use this lesson.
