Product Description
My math lessons focus on student engagement and participation. I focus on developing conceptual understanding using manipulatives, specific language and activities.  My lesson plans also include differientiated tasks that cater to the varying levels in the classroom.

This lesson goes deeper than part 1 but the goal remains the same.

Goals:

1) To understand the concept of multiplication decimals less than 1.

This is a skill that when taught only procedurally is quite simple (multiply as whole numbers and then move the decimal), however, understanding the concept is far more challenging. Our goal here is to reach conceptual understanding so that students really understand what it means to multiply a decimal by a decimal (this will be very helpful for when they need to multiply fractions by fractions)
