Forget the old way of having children memorize solfedge. Brought to you by KODALY MUSIC WITH MRS PERRY, this Interactive Notebook file contains a new street: Music Street - Route 88.
This street begins with a colorful, cheery street where the So and Mi families live. There are many "Lot for Sale" signs. As you teach the new pitch, you can tap on the sign, which will disappear. Tap below it and the new family's home will appear.
When you need to move into higher pitches, like High Do, go to the next page where the good folks of Music Street - Route 88 have moved north to Canada. They have now added apostrophe's to their names so that the postman can find them more easily, up north.
When winter arrives, the families head down south to Florida, where the atmosphere is sunny and the addresses all have comma's. These folks don't like too much change, so no matter where they live, the houses all look the same! It's the addresses you need to pay attention to!
The story of each family's arrival, their name, sign, and color is told, also. There is a new story for each pitch that you can use at your discretion, when you introduce new pitches.
All the music from KODALY MUSIC WITH MRS PERRY is color coded to match Music Street - Route 88.
Children enjoy the stories and seeing the houses pop up before their eyes. It assists with visual memory as you journey through my music pages.
