Description

See Saw & Solfa for recorder is a collection of well known songs used in Kodaly programs and Canadian folk songs. It is meant for beginning recorder students in a classroom setting or in private lessons.  As Kodaly students will likely know many of the songs, they will find it much easier to learn to play them on the recorder. The songs progress from m r d, throughs m and s l m to

d m s and d r m s l.  Rhythms are introduced gradually from simple tas andti-tis to complex patterns in 6/8.

Many of the songs are actually games which can be played before playing them on the recorder. The rhythms on the 4 beat rhythm sheets make excellent ostinati.
